AGM and updates

Hello Iaidoka!

Our annual AGM is coming up. Stay tuned for a date but it looks to be mid-December, probably December 15. We'll train as usual from 6 - 8 pm on Saturday night and then have our AGM from 8-9 pm over pizza and pop (on the club!).

Hope you can make it.

One item for consideration will be our current training night and time of training. Once again we will see what members have to say about this and try to find the best timing for everyone.
There is also a motion to move to two nights per week again. We will discuss this as well.
Our annual summer seminars have been successful, though attendance is down. The CKF has helped us for a couple years now with contributions from their development fund.
Thanks to Alex for all his work with the paperwork for the fund and his hosting of the sensei during the seminar. Much appreciated Alex!

I have just updated the website to reflect recent changes. Alex is now back in Calgary so the Drayton Valley extension of the club no longer exists.

Wishing everyone all the best!

Chris

Website changes

The website has been updated to reflect the upcoming 6th Annual Summer Seminar.
Other changes include:

- removed Kage Ryu from website
- added Drayton Valley to titles as well as contact info
- updated 2011 - 2012 Board of Director list
- updated Alexander Cook's grading status

Welcome to new club members Tzong and Spencer!

Other updates:

-CKF fees are due and have increased.
-Our club remains a CKF club and our club fees are upto date.
-Most club members are not registered as CKF members: please note, this is your responsibility to do and it is your choice to be a CKF member or not. If you are not a member, that is, not registered, you are not able to grade and are not accumulating the time needed (officially) to be eligible to grade. Again, this is your choice and the club is indifferent on this matter.
-Guelph May long weekend seminar is fast approaching! This is the premiere Iaido and Jodo training seminar in North America!

Much thanks to Alex and Keith for sharing in dojo instruction these days.

All the best.
Chris
